REDDING, Calif. — The California Alliance for Retired Americans held a congressional candidates forum on Sunday at the Senior Citizens Hall in Redding on Benton Drive. The forum was hosted to give seniors and people with disabilities in the California district one region an opportunity to meet the candidates who are running for Congress.
The discussion was focused on key senior issues like Medicare, Medicaid, and social security.
Donald Boyas from Redding said he went to the meeting to hear how the candidates will address his concerns on the opioid crisis, homelessness, and immigration.
Another Redding resident Suzanna Aragon said she attended the forum because of her overall concerns about Medicare and retirement.
